Why this Book Is Different
This book isn’t about memorizing codes, passing tests, or using sales scripts. It’s about how great technicians communicate, carry themselves, and earn trust — without pressure, games, or gimmicks.
These lessons reflect decades of professional experience in business ownership, technician training, and real-world service environments.
Education and Experience Work Together
Education and classroom learning are essential. They provide the technical foundation, safety standards, and core knowledge every professional technician needs.
At the same time, there are aspects of professionalism, communication, and real-world judgment that cannot be fully learned in a classroom setting.
This book series is designed to help close that gap — supporting educators, students, and working technicians as training meets real customers, real situations, and real responsibility.
About the Author
Barry Williams has spent decades in the plumbing and trades industry as a technician, trainer, and business owner. A U.S. Army veteran and U.S. Coast Guard–licensed captain, he has led teams, trained technicians in the field, and built a career around professionalism, clear communication, and ethical business practices.
With over 40 years as a North Carolina Class I licensed plumber and certification as a North Carolina Plumbing Inspector, Barry brings rare depth of experience, compliance knowledge, and craftsmanship to every client he serves.
These books reflect what he has seen work — and fail — in real-world service environments, not theory or classroom instruction.
